Rollerskating but not really

Went roller skating with my friend Yoori today at Central Park, if you can even call it that haha. I was pretty scared so I was pretty much walking. Once we hit a down hill I gave up and took them off after seeing Yoori fall. I need to practice more, hopefully one day I can dance in them. After we headed to Ralph Lauren cafe and had some lattes, and a dry chicken salad sandwich. I also tried matcha lemonade.

I walked home, I've been walking a lot lately. I enjoy long walks, just listening to music and looking up at buildings. Tomorrow I think I'm going to watch the fireworks. It was a nice little weekend I had.

Postcards from Paris

My second time in Paris. I went with my best friend for five days back in April. We ate lots of duck. Saw the Eiffel tower one too many times. We did a fun bike tour around the entire city, probably my most favorite part of the trip. We also saw moulin rouge, and did a dinner tour around the seine river. It was lovely, and I love Paris. It's a lot like New York, but more elegant in my opinion. I'd like to go back again and see Versailles but also travel to South of France next time.

Just a few updates

It's already July in 2022... boy does time fly by. Since I last blogged here are some highlights:

Did a few trips: San Diego in March, and Paris in April - both with my best friend.
Went on my first work trip in June - I went to Naples, Florida.
Saw a concert I will never forget, I saw Duke Dumont.
Quit my job, and starting a new one later this month!

Okay those are the main four I can think of on the top of my head that sums up half my year. I was suppose to be in Florida for fourth of July weekend but my trip was cancelled and decided to just not rebook it until November for my birthday.

This morning I walked Amelie, and we grabbed some coffee. Sat for awhile just looking at the trees sway. 2022 has been okay, I worked a lot and I'm excited for my next chapter. I just spent half the morning browsing through all my old posts, and I say this a lot but I want a better routine haha which includes working out. I have a few weeks off before I start so maybe I can really set up some time and get into these habits I constantly say I want to do.

Cooking Mama

I spent Christmas at my mom's in Pennsylvania, it was just me and her this year (plus my pup Amelie). I cooked a bunch of meals and my favorite part other then eating was plating! I made a number of dishes (all easy, and quick).. here was the menu -

1. Turkey Stuffed Squash
2. Lemon Green Beans
3. Apple Brie Corstinis
4. Caprese Salad
5. Pigs in a blanket (cheated, its pre-made from Trader Joes)
6. Cacio E Pepe (also cheated, pre-made from Trader Joes)

And to make it pretty, garnished it with Rosemary lol. This morning (first photo) I also made a quick dish I found inspiration from Pinterst, it was DELICIOUS. It's just toast with cottage cheese, avocado, red onion and sun-dried tomoatos. I'll probably make it again for dinner.

And as always at the end of the year I always feel motivated to make some healthy lifestyle changes lol. I reactivated my classpass, which I'm excited to get back home and go to one. Especially a pilates reformer class, those always de-stress me. I was close to buying a Peloton, glad I didn't. The idea of exercising is always nice but when its time to actually do it, I want to stop.

After cooking so much the past two days, I want to continue and make these quick, healthy meals. There is something special about filling your grocery cart with an bunch of beautiful greens.

I'm blogging from my mom's office, with a big window beside me - I wish I had this kind of setup in my own apartment lol, it's so dark where I usually work at my dining table.

Croatia

Just came back from Croatia. It was so fun ... wish I took more photos :(

I visited Dubronvik, Hvar, Split, and Pag. My favorite was Hvar. Pag is also beautiful, but it rained for the most of my time there. Croatia is probably not my favorite European country I've been to but it's definitely a beauty! The whole trip just flew by, sigh. Ready for the next trip to somewhere...

A weekend away + unrelated updates

Some snaps from my friend Luis' 30th birthday. We celebrated in this insane airbnb in Jim Thorpe, PA. It looked like it belonged in Bridgerton. I thought I took more photos, but I did not lol ... I was having too much fun! I want to write more but I am sleepy, and it's almost 1 AM. August already almost feels like it's over. Next week I leave for Croatia, I am a little nervous ... while I am super excited to travel and get out of New York, the stories I've been hearing about cases rising is making me uneasy about it.

I went to the Van Gogh immersive exhibit a few weekends ago. I really enjoyed it. I thought I wouldn't but I would love to go again, I hear they do some yoga classes. I had another update, but I've already forgotten what it was I was going to write. Good night.

Slow Day

Feeling a little sick. Decided to stay in and hang with my puppy and catch some rest. She got her final shots this past Thursday, so I get to finally take her out which has been sweet. I got stopped a lot from random strangers asking to pet her and she loves it, haha!

Westlight

Went to West Light, a rooftop bar in Williamsburg. The octopus skewers are delish! Today was a little stressful, glad I got to go out for a little fun. I'm exhausted , so good night!

Fourth of July

Time flies. It's already almost the end of July and here I am blogging about what I did for the fourth of July. I made a quick trip to Florida to visit my dad, we drove up to St. Petersburg, and went camping. While there we also went fishing, I really suck at that. Fishing to me is boring though, I have no patience to wait for some fish to be tricked by some bait. Which is interesting, because it kind of relates to my feelings around that whole saying "more fish in the sea" but I'm too lazy to get into that.

BUBBYS

Went to brunch with some friends at Bubbys, omg so good. I had this fried chicken meal with a biscuit. I'm a bit tipsy with a headache so I can't write much. My dog is kinda sort screaming too. Anyway highly recommend this place. The mac and cheese is also good.
